Our heart behind the summit

Sally Webb

I am a Yorkshire girl at heart, shaped by early mornings, open fields, and a deep love for the land and the people in it. I am a glass-half-full woman who has always believed that things will work out for good, that “the only way out is through,” and “where you look is where you go.” My life is a testimony of God’s goodness and mercy, because even when I wasn’t walking with Him, He was always walking with me.

I am a woman whose breaking point became her beginning. When my marriage ended, my children were gone, and home was on the other side of the world, I cried out to God with nothing left, and He rebuilt my life with love, peace, and joy.

I am now a wife, mother, encourager, friend, and founder of Inspiring Perspectives and Leaders in L.I.F.E., living fully surrendered to Jesus and passionate about helping others lead from the heart. At Heart of a Leader, I will share how knowing who God is for you, honouring the desire within you, and walking with the right people transforms the way you lead and live.

My passion is helping people rediscover their God-given creativity and use it to bring light into the world. I believe every person has a story that matters, a story that can heal, inspire, and reveal God’s heart when told with honesty and courage. That belief drives everything I do.

Through Above The Sun, I walk alongside writers as an author mentor, creating spaces where they can grow through courses, workshops, and collaborative book projects. I love watching people find their voice, gain clarity, and begin sharing their message with confidence. My hope is that every author I work with learns to lead from authenticity rather than striving, to write from the heart, serve from overflow, and see their words become part of something eternal. At Heart in Leadership, I share how true influence begins in the secret place, where creativity becomes worship and our words flow from His heart, not our effort.

Dionne Van Zyl

I’ve spent over three decades leading, building, and advising organisations across financial services and high-technology industries. Over that time, I’ve worked closely with executives, founders, and leadership teams navigating growth, pressure, and complexity — often in environments where success is measured externally, but sustainability is tested internally.

Along the way, I’ve learned that leadership is not simply about strategy, performance, or innovation — it’s about alignment. Alignment between who you are, what you carry, and how you lead. I’ve seen firsthand that when leaders operate disconnected from their inner life, even the most impressive achievements eventually come at a cost.

My journey has been shaped by creating high-leverage partnerships, mentoring leaders through transition, and helping organisations move from driven performance to purposeful impact. At the heart of my work is a conviction that true leadership flows from clarity, integrity, and presence — not pressure or striving.

At the Heart of a True Leader Summit, I’ll be sharing insights drawn from both marketplace leadership and personal formation, exploring how leaders can remain grounded, discerning, and effective while leading from the inside out.

Melissa Jones

Melissa Jones is dedicated to raising a generation of confident girls. As the founder of the nonprofit organization Girls Positivity Club, she leads a mission to help girls develop positive daily habits, control their inner world, and show up more confidently than ever. A global leader, international speaker, and former teacher with 25 years of experience, Melissa has motivated thousands of girls and families worldwide, providing them with the tools they need to cultivate connection.

Growing up, school was a challenging place for Melissa. She faced many dark times and felt like her mind was constantly in chaos. As a teacher, she noticed that today’s girls faced similar struggles. Throughout her career, she worked to create a positive, safe, and empowering environment in the classroom but found something was still missing for girls. This led her to create Girls Positivity Club, where girls can connect, feel like they belong, and take control of their lives to feel more confident every day. The club provides a safe place for girls to manage their inner voice and boost their self-confidence.

Melissa’s impactful work has been featured on NBC, CBS, ABC, Woman’s Day, Parents, and more.

Omosola Fiberesima

I am a woman whose life is shaped by faith and reflection, believing that God is ever present in every season of change. I spent years building my creative profession until God transitioned me into intentionally building people, birthing the journey from profession to passion, and from me doing to becoming. A transformation that began on the inside long before it became evident on the outside.
I am a Transition and Transform Coach, author, speaker, and founder of The Place of Excellence Ltd., called to help people navigate change with clarity, creativity, and confidence. Activated through God-led insight and intentional strategic reflection, I enable others to step into relevance, living legacy, and wealth creation.
At Heart of a Leader, I will share how reflection brings clarity, how transition shapes who you’re becoming, and how passion fuels purpose and impact.

Catherine Bentley

I am an experienced educational leader with many years spent serving communities through senior leadership and principalship. Throughout my career, I have led through complexity, change, and challenge, always returning to the belief that leadership is fundamentally about people, purpose, and values.

My heart sits in values-based leadership — leading with integrity, compassion, and courage, even when the path ahead isn’t always clear. I am deeply committed to creating environments where others feel seen, supported, and able to grow.

More recently, I have taken on a role that allows me to support and mentor other principals across the region, walking alongside them as they navigate the pressures and possibilities of leadership.

In all that I do, I am anchored by a belief that leadership is an act of service — one that requires humility, wisdom, and a willingness to hold to your values when it matters most.

Sue Barrell

Reflecting on my life, I see courage as the golden thread running through every chapter. Our past shapes us, and each story contributes to who we become. At 62, fuelled by a deep desire to live without regrets, I chose courage over comfort by stepping away from a successful real estate career to pursue my creative dreams.

Entering the unknown at my stage of life was daunting, but faith in my God anchored me through the fear. Today, as founder of Together WE Thrive, I am passionate about creating empowering spaces where older women connect, inspire one another, and share their courageous journeys. I believe growth is essential, not optional, and that it’s never too late to shine. At Heart of a True Leader, I share that true courage is not about being fearless but about trusting the One who guides our hearts forward into purpose.

Janine Carter

As a younger person, I was intensely shy and deeply worried about what others thought, which left me almost silent. But that is not how my story is ending. Today, I am bold enough to start a ministry, write a book, and be available for speaking engagements. How did this miracle happen? Damaging self-beliefs learned at a young age were completely transformed by God’s truth.

Through years of investing in my own healing, training, and learning, alongside a career in nursing, three years at Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry, and the support of Leaders In Life Ministry, I now help others find that same life transformation for themselves.

I am filled with passion, and through Grace Carrier Ministries, I see others come into their true identity and make the impact on the world they were created for.

At Heart of a True Leader, I will share how God’s truth transforms identity, restores confidence, and releases people to step boldly into who they were created to be.
